I have a new blogging home

BIG NEWS! I have a new blog, ArtfulEdge, that will soon appear as part of thedailyUV.com. Many of you have followed not just this very blog, Turning60–A Woman of a Certain Age, but my contributions over the past year to TheUpperValley.com. TheUpperValley is being taken over by thedailyUV, and I am proud to say that I have been asked to continue blogging. I will be covering local arts: theatre, books, poetry readings, and other things that I may conjure up that might be of interest to Upper Valley and other readers.

Most people who write for Internet-based magazines are unpaid. That has included me, and at times happily so. However, thedailyUV is experimenting with a way to pay bloggers for their articles. I will be compensated for each new view (or “click”) of my work; I would appreciate your clicking on and reading my posts. It will provide a very (!) modest stipend to me and will also support the attempts of thedailyUV to try new, and hopefully sustainable, ways for writers to be paid for their contributions. Not bad, that.

My first post will be up within the next week or so. I will be posting links here, as I have always done, so that you can find the articles easily. Thank you, and I hope you will continue to read my work.
